Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the tools of the Chinese Medicine health management system. It is an exaustive medical system categorised as an alternative medicine. Being over
5,000 years old, it is an avant-garde alternative. This system uses patient’s own life force to heal from
pain and disease.

Our body and its functions were equated to a garden, requiring daily maintenance, cultivation and proper nourishing.

It owns a unique palette of tools: Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Training (Tai Chi Chuan, Chi
Gong, Meditation), a therapeutic massage Tui-Na and Acupressure.

Chinese Medicine is able to recognize the internal problem by the outer manifestations and categorize it
into logical causes by following the Five Elements, Eight Parameters and Four Diagnostic methods. The
process of healing is a multifrontal attack on the disease.
Health is defined as a state in which the combination of physical, emotional and mental qualities of an
individual are at the top level. Our emotions are inseparably interrelated to the health and harmony of
our internal organ systems.
There are Five Elements identified with Chinese Medicine: Wood, Earth, Metal, Water and Fire. With
each of these elements there is an associated Yin Organ System, Yang Organ System, an open orifice, a
specific season, sound, smell, taste, tissue, emotion, and more. This methodology views each of our Five
Organ Systems as a separate entities and by its their interrelations (Promotional and Controlling Phases).

Yin and Yang complement each other as a process of change and balance.

The Six Atmospheric States are: Dryness, Wetness, Heat/Fire, Summer Heat, Cold and Wind. Each of the
Five Organ Systems has an atmospheric state in which it prefers to normally function.

Chinese Medicine incorporates the Seven Emotions and their internal connections to specific internal
organ systems: anger, joy, fear, fright, grief, worry and pensiveness.
